Bad Attitude Is Worse Than Making Mistakes

Error 404 (Erik Mclean)
Erik Mclean

Making mistakes is human — you already know that. But doing things with a bad attitude is not human; it is diabolical.

In many moments you hold yourself accountable for your mistakes — but have you ever noticed that you never hold yourself accountable for your bad attitude?

We should be more merciful with our mistakes, but intolerant of our bad attitude.

Making a mistake speaks to our incapacity and lack of skill. A bad attitude speaks to our character.

You cannot hide a bad attitude, even though we try hard to do so.

I notice it. You notice it. Everyone notices it. You give yourself away.

Beyond all that, a bad attitude is contagious. All it takes is one person with a bad attitude to contaminate an entire environment.

Do not let that virus get to you.

Do not work below your capacity — it is not good for you, and it is not good for anyone.

Patience with mistakes; zero tolerance for bad attitude.
