Unity

Unity is not uniformity, nor is it unanimity.

It is not the transformation of differences into sameness.

Nor is it the formatting of the individual to conform to the whole.

It is not the erasure of the self, nor a change to who you are.

Unity is the building of a culture around a shared purpose.

It is different people holding the same vision.

It is opinions and ways of thinking moving toward the same result.

It is the transformation of "mine" for the benefit of "ours".

In the Universe, there are many stars that light up our night.

Yet none of them share the same brightness, intensity, or position.

In unity, it is always possible to find your place.

Because the more stars in our Universe, the more illuminated the night will be — and the more routes there will be for travelers looking to the sky for direction.

It is unity that sustains the purpose of the Universe.
